This NSF LEAP-HI project – Adaptable Cities – will generate and transform fundamental insights from behavioral modeling, network statistics, stochastic optimization, and controls for the creation of adaptable urban systems. By engaging a wide range of stakeholders (e.g., store owners, city and regional planners, transit planners, community organizations, etc.) from the beginning, we are developing a co-design process to conduct research that is fundamental in science and responds to the most pressing real-world needs.
